Why This Partnership Matters
OSCA’s mission to grow Africa’s open-source movement aligns deeply with our objectives of decentralizing Bitcoin development and fostering open-source collaboration in regions where such technologies remain underrepresented. We’re both committed to empowering talent in Africa and advocating for the economic, social, and technical benefits of free and open collaboration.
As our CEO, Abubakar Nur Khalil, puts it, “This collaboration marks the first step in realizing our shared vision to pave the way for African talent to lead the global development of Bitcoin and drive Africa's digital development while contributing to the advancement of freedom technology globally. We believe this year's theme captures the spirit of collaboration required to achieve it.”
Join Us at OSCAFEST 2025
We invite developers, students, tech enthusiasts, and community organizers to join OSCAFEST 2025. This is an opportunity to network, learn, and contribute to open-source projects, gaining the tools and knowledge needed to impact Africa’s growing tech ecosystem.
